Art on a Postcard Stand at The Other Art Fair 2018

During the fair were at stand 139 since it opened on Thursday evening, tucked away in our pretty corner. We loved getting chatting to so many of you, whether it was about the Postcards, our cause or just to talk about art, all who came to the stall made it such a fun weekend. The atmosphere right through Victoria House was brilliant- so much creativity in one room! As usual, it was very impressive seeing the Art on a Postcard experts who could point out each and every artist, we all had our poker faces on but we assure you we are always impressed by the amount of research and art knowledge our supporters put in to the auctions.

The auction itself was an extremely tense 2 hours, but a lot of fun watching bidders go head to head. The first big sell was Lot 10, which we can now reveal is Paula Rego's 'Untitled', selling for £600. There was a very exciting back and forth during the bidding for Lubaina Himid's 'Sunday Afternoon' which eventually sold for £480.

Finally, we want to say a massive THANK YOU to all of the artists who donated artwork. This wouldn't be possible without the them and their generosity. The £15,000 raised goes directly to the Hepatitis C Trust and we are able to move even closer to our goal of eliminating the Hepatitis C virus by 2025.
