Maryam Eisler

Maryam Eisler was born in Tehran in 1968, and emigrated to Paris at age 10. She holds a BA in Political Science from Wellesley College (1989) and an MBA from Columbia University (1993). 

Maryam is a former board member of Wellesley College and sits on the advisory board of the Columbia University Global Centers.

She also co-chairs Tate’s MENAAC Acquisitions Committee and is a member of the Tate International Council. Maryam is a trustee of the Whitechapel Gallery, an Ambassador for Unseen Photo Fair, sits on the advisory board of Photo London, and is a nominator for the Prix Pictet photography prize. Maryam is also a contributing Editor to LUX Magazine. 

Maryam's photographic work is currently represented by the London-based gallery, Tristan Hoare. Her first series, 'Searching for Eve in the American West' was launched at Photo London art fair in May 2016. Her first solo exhibition ran from 1 Nov – 12 Nov 2016 at Tristan Hoare

Her second series, 'Eurydice in Provence', will be shown at Dallas Art Fair in April 2017.
