Marziale identifies time, existing in both analogue and digital realms, as an enforced assembly that crosses cultures and inhabits all languages. Blurring the lines between reality and abstraction he searches for rich textures, patiently waiting for the subtle moment when the soft lighting or harsh contrast defines the space and provides the images with a sense of timeless solitude.
Marziale's landscapes reveal patterns that remind us of the subtle harmony in nature and bring us back to our emotional and physical connection to the environment.
Luca Marziale was born in 1991 in Lugano, Switzerland and graduated with a BFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. He lives and works in London. He has participated in numerous important solo and group exhibitions including SCOPE Basel, SCOPE Miami, The Other Art Fair London and CONTEXT New York.
