Luke McLean is a London based Artist, Illustrator and Beatnik out to make it rich. Having been working in the creative industry for 20 years he has amassed a diverse range of international clients, from the music, film and fashion industries. Along side commercial endeavours Luke produces personal work in the form of limited edition prints and Canvases.
He has worked and collaborated with a variety of bands/brands/labels including U2, Supergrass, Motorhead, Shakespears Sister, The Horrors, Andrew Weatherall, the Charlatans, George Lucas, Red Bull, You Must Create, Antipodium and London Fields Brewery.
He also known for his own t-shirt label, product250 which for 10 years sold in some of the most fashionable independent and department stores across the globe.
Embracing Pop art, psychedelic gig posters and graffiti alongside the odd, the everyday & the sometimes surreal Luke McLean’s playful visual language and image making continues to innovate, evolve and surprise.
He prides himself on approaching all projects with creative thought, originality, humour and beauty in mind, whether the work be a commissioned piece or a flight of his own fancy. His enthusiasm, curiosity and eye for detail have stood him in good stead so far gaining recognition in publications such as Vogue, ID, Dazed & Confused and the Creative Review magazine.
