Georgia Peskett

Georgia Peskett paints in her studio on the edge of the Peak District near Sheffield.

Working with oil and wax on various media including paper and silk.

Her series Disguises is inspired by Darwin’s theory of evolution by natural selection.

Using everyday scenes from the high street to commuting, questioning female identity in contemporary society, images of women shopping, make up promotions and reflections in department stores, the consumers desire to be better, made up and more perfect.

Filtering down continuously from the catwalks and current beauty bloggers on social media.
