Charlotte MacMillan was born and lives in London. Having studied fine art at Wimbledon Art School Charlotte completed post graduate courses in film making and documentary photography at the London College of Printing.
After graduating from LCP Charlotte worked for a number of years as part of Mario Testino’s production team, she subsequently became a freelance photographer and has since contributed regularly for The Telegraph Magazine, Dance Gazette, Spanish Vogue and The National Theatre.
In 2002 she was nominated for the Ian Parry Award for Photojournalism for her portrait series 'Recovery Rooms', a collection of intimate portraits depicting her subjects in various stages of addiction recovery.
Charlotte is currently working on a photographic book about her late father, the choreographer Sir Kenneth MacMillan due to be published in 2017 by Oberon Books.
